I am not the final arbiter on anything.
However, her voice makes me cringe. Years ago, the Bruins had an
All American pitcher named Angelica*. For unknown reasons, Mowins
began to refer to her as "Jelly."
The word came from the back of her throat, twisted around, and
smudged my eardrums.
There are, as we all know, people who think Taylor Swift is a
beautiful canary, and rap is poetry. I happen to disagree with
both. I am an opinionated SOB. In fact, I wrote an opinion
(and humor) column for 24 newspapers for 9.5 years.
Maybe something happens in mid-air when she speaks. (The same
thing that happened when Brent Musburger called games.) And it
doesn't happen to you.
I just wish ESPN would throw her a going away party.

*Does anyone remember? Angelica couldn't throw overhand
to first base, and it cost the Bruins in a tournament game.
