When I saw that draw, I really didn't like seeing Irvine in our draw, afer we had lost our only matchup in the regular season to them - even if it was a midweek game and Savage wasn't using our top pitchers for those non-con midweek games during conference season.
That extra game they had to play was very beneficial to us, IMHO.
