If you will indulge me, I have a great infield fly rule story for you.
We were playing in the championship game of the UCLA intramural coed softball league. The score was tied in the last inning and the other team had runners on first and second with nobody out. The batter hit a high popup to the infield and the umpire called infield fly rule. I was playing third and I told the shortstop to let it drop because I guessed the runner on second didn't know the rule. The girl then wandered off second and was tagged out for a double play. Her incensed boyfriend ran out on the field and started cussing out our shortstop for making a BS play. They got in a fight and the game was called.
Several days later we awarded the championship when I convinced them that the other team instigated the fight.
