... in the tournament in Hawaii were against really good and highly ranked teams. Won out against them in the back half to win tournament. Really nothing surprising either way. The #1 ranking came because we beat those highly ranked teams AND Florida State played nobody approaching decent. The AVCA considers opponents strength when ranking. One can check those rankings each week on the AVCA sight on tuesdays. My opinion is we have a solid team and are 2 or 3 best and could win it all. Last year’s team was better but so was sc. One of my worst sports days as an observer was watching the final in Gulf Shores last season. I’ll be there again and looking for redemption (Cue ‘Redemption Song’). If I missed something let me know.
