UC Irvine scored on a set piece playing with only 10 players due to a player receiving 2 yellow cards. Very disappointing loss, though UCLA had been not great against corners and set pieces in recent matches. It looked like UCLA goalkeeper Neku Purcell could have made the stop, but she was slow to react to a header that wasn’t very powerful.
