Invitational over the weekend beating No2 usc in the semis 8-7 then beating No1 Stanford in the final 5-4. Against sc, the Bruins trailed by 3 going into the 4th Q and scored 4 straight goals for the win.
Against the furd, UCLA scored on a penalty shot to take the 5-4 lead and it was all defense after that for the remaining 7 minutes. IN water polo, 7 minutes is forever when you have a 1 point lead over the No1 team.
The No3 Bruins will now be the No1 Bruins and travel to usc on Saturday to play the trojans at 1pm.
The girls had lost a couple of weeks back to Stanford in the Stanford tourney so this was payback.
