Cal State Bakersfield plays a three game series at UCLA. It's a chance for CSUB to get to the playoffs. The Runners have beaten ASU, # 2 South Carolina, Ohio St, Wazzu, swept Washington and looking for a sweep vs Northridge today. The remainder of the schedule is brutal but the type that can get you into the post season if you hold your own. They have 3 with UCLA, 3 with Irvine, 3 with Fresno St, 3 with Riverside, 5 with Kansas St and three with Cal Poly SLO.
I'm rather torn with this series but UCLA looks like they will win the PAC 10 and get a top seed regardless of the series, while it is a chance for CSUB to take a big step to win at least one game in the series. The pitching matchups should be good as CSUB is also one of the top era leaders in the nation behind UCLA's.
