NCAA changed bat standards as of 1/1/11

The new bats are designed to reduce ball speed off the bat. UCLA, with its Easton bats, has complied. Other schools (Nike schools, anyone?) have not ... or so I hear.

Supposedly whenever the Bruins break out the old bats at practice, *shazaam*, they start hitting again.
