Billingsley and Kershaw are both young. Chad had that bad 6th inning last week and in general has not been sharp for the last month or two.
I still have great hopes for Kershaw, but he just couldn't control his pitches at all last night.
Schmidt looked good the other day but is probably too rusty and old to be counted on as an ace in the playoffs.
And I don't think Kuroda or Wolf are ace material.
So I suppose our best hope is for Billingsley and Kershaw to get their acts together somehow for the stretch run and playoffs.
