It's not likely that someone would trade a top pitcher for Pierre, because the only reason you'd trade such a pitcher would be if you're not competing, and then why pick up Pierre.
But, the Dodgers might trade Pierre to a contender (say in the AL where he could play left or DH), for some strong prospects, and then they could bring a guy like Hoffman back up.
