in the 2nd round of the Amateur Baseball Draft by the Chicago White Sox. Trayce devoted 100% to baseball his senior year and is currently hitting .333 with 9 home runs for Santa Margarito. I mention those stats because I was surprised when Trayce had a scholarship offer from UCLA when he hit .230 as a sophomore and junior. Savage and the scouts clearly saw this potential when he devotes more time to baseball.
Something tells me he'll sign a professional contract. I know Gerritt Cole turned down the Yankees, but I think Trayce will strike while this iron is hot considering the improvement of his game over the year and the ability to devote 100% to baseball professionally, which he would not be able to do as a student-athlete imo.
