Juan Pierre is playing regularly because Manny is suspended.
He is hitting .419 with 12 rbi's.
But he's not one of the four reserves who are playing on Sunday to rest the regulars, since he is for the duration of the suspension a "regular."
The reserves? Juan Castro, SS, .450 with his first HR. Mark Loretta, 3B, .368 with 3 RBI's. Brad Ausmus, C, .346. And the newest Dodger position player, Xavier Paul, RF, who just hit his first HR the other day, .333.
Pierre(!) and Paul, in addition to Orlando Hudson, also made great defensive plays in the first two innings to get Kershaw going on his no-no attempt.
