for most consecutive home wins to start a season:

1. You have to be lucky. They have not hit well in all the games, but well enough to win. They scored 2 runs in a game Shults started, 3 runs in a game Weaver started. Neither of these pitchers were on the 25-men roster at the beginning of the season. Who would have thought that measly support would be good enough to produce wins?

2. The "suspect" pitching has done very well. They have given up 7 runs in the last five games (that is, going through the whole rotation), only one of those by a relief pitcher.

3. The most terrible team in baseball is coming to town next. The hitters ought to feast on the Nationals' pitching in support of Kershaw and Wolf. But you'd never know.
