That's been pretty widely speculated before but yeah when the Saudis essentially admitted they were going to try and help Trump win the election it should have set off alarm bells.
25% of the US active oil wells closed in the first 9 months of Covid we went from 800 to 600. Trump negotiated a 2 year 25% CUT in oil production from Saudis and OPEC, Worldwide.
So when things opened up we had 25% less domestic supply(plus refineries closed) and 25% less world supply. Gee I wonder why prices went up?
THen we find out Trump has been actively talking to MBS this whole time, it doesn't take much to wonder if maybe part of the continued high gas prices, and Saudis refusal to end the 2 year deal early, were because they were doing what Trump told them to do to hurt Biden.
And now as we get into an election year, gas prices are spiking up again. Again not much of a leap to wonder if that's by design from the Saudis to help Trump
