Yup, one of my favorite movies. It Blew my mind back in the day. The movie did have one part in it that is kind of a staple in miss identification movies. The scene were Gosset and Garner are talking normal and then the female lead catches them talking with big words and Gosset and hilariously has to go back to talking like a slave.
they had the same type of joke in the Tarzan movies where Tarzan is talking back and forth to his ape buddy and then the female lead catches them talking and the ape reverts into a very bad ape imitation.
Gosset got to team up with Garner again in the Rockford Files. One of the series funniest moments was when Gosset followed some criminal into a NAZI bar. Gosset's speech to the patrons about what really makes America great is not to be forgotten.
