Teams and leagues getting into partnerships with gambling outfits is going to end badly. The Mavs are trying to get a casino built in their new likely publicly financed arena. Sure, no conflict of interest there.
Gambling scandals have crippled the professional sports industry in many countries. The US based leagues chose to ignore this fact figuring they will be exception that disproves the rule. Good luck with that.
