in the same bucket as being physically incapable of doing some activities, or vice versa? One is a red flag all on its own, the other is an inconvenience. Not exactly a bothsidesy thing, IMO.

Also, to be sure, presenting a capable candidate who puts the nation's well being above all else is not really what political parties are all about. At least no more than putting a well-designed and well constructed product without any bugs or defects that's also good at what it does is what corporations are all about. Political parties are in the business of winning elections and corporations are in the business of making money. Whatever quality you get from candidates or the products on the market is merely a secondary property that may or may not be there.

In general it's a plus if you get a candidate that's smart and capable (which we have on occasion in the past) but it's neither a necessary nor a sufficient condition to win an election. Which is one reason we're condemned to vote defensively every time, voting for who's closest to us or who we think is going to cause the least damage.

In this case, I don't know about you but the physically more restricted man seems to be at least several notches better than the guys who's a bully and a terrible human being. Your mileage may vary.
