The biggest wealth increases came from the value of primary residences, followed by retirement accounts, cash and bonds, and annuities/trusts. These are investments older people own.
Take a look at the three charts I’ll post below.
35 and younger did worse in almost every portion of the wealth spectrum.
75+ did better at every part of the wealth spectrum.
