They have a wikipedia entry.

Something is cooking all around the world, I think. Bengladesh, France, Serbia ... the women's protests that destabilized Iran for a while a year or two ago was also primarily a Gen Z phenomenon, AFAIK. Things are happening in India now. I would not be surprised if they were also a part of Orban's eventual demise in Hungary.

Reduced education budgets are part of what's on their agenda, which someone connected to the rise of AI as a source of increased anxiety: they are getting educated for jobs with (a) money being taken away, and (b) for jobs that are disappearing. This add to an already growing list of ongoing environmental collapse, dominance of nationalist policies in some places, the genocide in Gaza, and I'd like to think an overall disillusionment with capitalism and the utter contempt that the new billionaire class seems to be regarding NPCs like us.

So ... the kids are kinda alright?
