DOJ sent letters to dozens of California elections officials telling them they had 48 hours to set aside ballots they believe were illegally sent to non citizens. California officials say they are just going to continue to do their job and at least one county, Mendocino, said they got a list of names of people who were suspected to be noncitizens most of which don't even live in Mendocino County. Officials said California is getting similar feedback from other counties the names they told us were non citizens don't live in the county they said they lived in. The letters from the DOJ contain clear errors.
So is it just incompetence or did they do it intentionally so state officials would not comply because it wasn't possible?
