They used to reject the label when it came to Jill Biden because she wasn't a medical doctor. With AES, they've decided that being medical doctor is not enough to be called a doctor, but you have to be a clinician.
I have a cousin who lives in Michigan who has been deep into MAGA since god knows when posting similar things about AES for a while now (just recently he started posting that he's a snake -- the level of dehumanization is off the charts), so I am especially sensitive to this claim the right makes now -- the point being they simply cannot grant a brown, muslim man with a foreign sounding name his personal achievements because they have to be inferior somehow, definitionally.
