CNBC says that the one they prefer was 3.1 in August 3.7 now. Very few items did NOT go up, one of them was groceries which they point out is highly misleading because the real Diesel surge didn't start until 2nd half of August so it's pushing up grocery prices now. Also again a very recent study showed almost all of the inflation on groceries is caused by tariffs and gas prices it would be under 2 % if not for Trumps policies
Hassett went on CNBC and said their policies are keeping inflation down, they disagreed with him and called out the study of 67 items that clearly showed their policies are directly causing it, and Hassett called the report disappointing but things are getting better.
The only discount I see on groceries now is they are offering bulk discounts. Corn chips cheaper if you buy 3 bags, etc. We've been buying raising bread 2 at a time because it's cheaper per loaf that way
