Talarico appears on Zoom looking horribly sick, coughing and runny nose and then isn't seen for 9 days. The GOP starts rumors that he's mentally ill and checked into a mental hospital. Then he appears at Austin City Nights, explains he had the flu and had only just got up and around again. And then the GOP pounces, half of them say if he had the flu he shouldn't be here he's exposing people. And the other half call him a liar

Then some right wing operative puts out a report that he confirmed with someone at a mental hospital in Ohio that Talarico had been treated there for depression and released. Which of course if true would be a massive HIPAA violating the likes of which could literally get the Hospital shut down. The Hospital quickly denies the whole thing he was never a patient, nobody here has spoken to the guy who said he was, if he had been a patient nobody here would do that it's aviolation of federal laws. Talarico's people immediately deny it.

And now the same people that were joking they needed proof of life on Talarico are demanding he release GPS data from his phone to prove he wasn't in Ohio in the hospital

These people made up a story to try and get him because Paxton is doing so poorly, and now are demanding he prove the made up story is not real, while they continue to parade Mitch the Zombie around and pretend it's totally normal

The guy behind it is Nick Sortor a right wing doofus the same guy who got arrested for assault in Portland in 2025 but video evidence disclosed he had acted in self defense. He's now suing the City of Portland for 10 million dollars claiming it was bias against Conservatives. So apparently he's decided to try and one up that and go after Talarico.

I really hope Talarico sues him for defamation
