Correct but Elias was clear this is the first time they've admitted that in the past they have lied and said voters won't be impacted. They're now admitting that if it was approved today it's still too close to the election to be done correctly so many states(I wrote voters he said states) would be unable to do it without harming voters.
It's clear the plan is to do just that and the hope from Elias and others is that SCOTUS will NOT do that.
Elias fwiw said he expects SCOTUS to weigh in by the end of this week which means tonight or tomorrow. He doesn't think it will go much beyond that. He didn't really explain why
If our assumption is SCOTUS is just going to hand Trump what he wants, why not wait until the very last second to do so?
