Mahmood Mamdani, the father of Mayor Zohran Mamdani of New York, is considered one of Africa’s leading political thinkers. In a recent interview with The New York Times, the Columbia University professor said he had sought not to interfere with his son’s political rise, and shared that his next book would be about Israel, Palestinians and the 2024 campus protests against the war in Gaza.
Mamdani's net favorability rose +14 in September 2025 from to +48 by March 2026. Are the Republicans still going to run against him this November? Hahahaha
