when you seized a boat or plane (Maintenance), dry cleaners (chemicals) or pet store (animal upkeep) if the asset was not maintained you went from a valuable asset to a worthless asset. I knew a person who seized a plane and did not provide maintenance and the plane had no value by the time of auction. this was in the 80s. All kinds of rules were put into place afterwards to prevent a similar disaster.
But if the new rule book is to not be confined by the rules of engagement and you get rid of institutional memories, history will always be new.
