And today an Israeli who has been involved in multiple peace treatiess for decades said it was almost the exact same offer they made in Sep 2024. That time Biden's administration was negotiating something different but they also knew Netanyahu would reject the offer, which he did. The guy said Netanyahu was very clear he wanted to keep the war going and didn't want a ceasefire until after the US election and the Presidency had changed hands. So while he said biden's team should have pursued that offer, he understood the reason they didn't, they knew Netanyahu would kill it anyways.
