Surprising because up until a few years ago, Benioff had the reputation for being one of the good guys. We all knew Larry Ellison was a piece of sh*t, but at least, the thought went, he gave birth to Benioff, who is not.
Well, guess what? Apparently that was all Benioff being a performative CEO before he came to embrace his inner MAGA gollum.
I never knew enough about him to consider him a hero of any kind, but it has to be noted that we are now finding out in this crystallizing moment that underneath every billionaire is a complete piece of sh*t yearning to get out under the right fascistic circumstances.
At least the true face of capitalism and what it does to people is finally getting exposed, and that's a good thing.
