Entire meeting was caused by Witkoff being stupid

German news Bild reported it and so is Ukrainian news and the US have picked it up too.

Witkoff in a meeting with Russia apparently misunderstood Putin and thought he was offering to withdraw from 2 occupied areas of Ukraine in part of a peace deal. So Witkoff told Trump we need to jump all over this so they scheduled the meeting with Putin. But what Putin REALLY said was I want UKRAINE to withdraw from those 2 cities as part of a peace deal. So the entire point of the meeting was Witkoffs' a moron.


The Ukrainian story literally says he's utterly incompetent and the Ukrainians can't believe how stupid they are.

White House of course says "fake news"
