The whole summit was a meaningless event that accomplished nothing, but the media fell for it hook, line, and sinker. There was endless, wall-to-wall coverage of a photo op.
There was also days of "analysis" before and there will be after.
Now they media will jump through the same hoops about a Zelensky visit to the White House. Again, nothing important will happen, but Trump will control the narrative for another week.
The media can't resist bright, shiny objects.
