Apparently, he's the one who immediately went to the hallway where Padilla was handcuffed and told the imperial guards to let him go, and they took the handcuffs off.
(Why was Lewandowski there, you ask? Well, that would be kinda lurid, but the word is he and Noem are sweet on one another. There is no woerd on what Mrs. Lewandowski thinks about that.)
So yeah, the people in the room all knew who he was. The cops saw a brown man and pushed him out. Because that's what cops do. Because that's what they are.
