If you are serious about understanding the history of the US, Russia, China, and India world politics from a historic, grand strategy, and military perspective, listen to some of the lectures/interview from Sarah Paine who is an American historian, author, and professor of strategy and policy at the U.S. Naval War College in Newport. She has lived in Russia, Japan, and China. She is fluent in all 3 languages and writes about Asian geopolitics from the original source languages from foreign countries.
I can't do the homework for you. Spend a few hours listening to her lectures on grand strategy on YouTube. Combine that with hours of listening to Australian analyst Perun and other professors from other countries' War Colleges on Ukraine, and you'll get a bigger picture of what I'm talking about.
