I don't even think 7-5 was a bad prediction. My prediction was 8-4, with 7-5 a close second.
My quarrel is with thinking that, after starting 4-0, 7-5 would have been a good season. IMO (you disagree) it would have been a mild failure. Today, at 5-0, 7-5 would be nothing short of a disaster.
