Our TE's aren't great, but all you have to be able to do is block, run a route, catch a ball. That's it. If you can make stuff happen after you catch it, fantastic!
But just get to where you're supposed to be and catch the ball when you get there. That's huge for the O. Now you have to cover them.
Loftin after he caught the ball: "I'm going to run straight and I'm going to run slow." Doesn't matter. They didn't cover him, and he got a 26 yard gain. Now they have to cover him. Opens things up for the other receivers. And, if they don't, Nico will find him and Fox-Flores for an easy pickup.
