Dante Moore clearly seemed to give up on the season after Garbers took back the starting job (in hindsight, Garbers probably should have kept it, but there were some great passes in that Coastal game, while Garbers didn't have the best start to that game). Moore kept making the same mistakes over and over every time he went in, and never learned from the experience. That pick his first throw against Cal? Ouch.
But, all that is based only on what I saw on the field, and there could have been more going on (How well did Kelly manage the situation? probably not well, I'd guess).
