Good chance he brings his current DC, who was co-DC at Alabama last year but got fired after what sounded like a player mutiny. Has also been co-DC at Cincinnati and Wisconsin. Apparently he's hard to play under but he's a good coach.
Chesney's DC in 2024 is currently an assistant at Texas A&M, so he's a possibility, too.
I don't think Chesney is like a lot of coaches we've hired where we try to match him with some random DC. Chesney's background is on D and he figures to hire someone he's already worked with.
