Morris coached Pat Mahomes at Texas Tech as an assistant, recruited Cam Ward to Incarnate Word (and Washington St) and now has North Texas at 10-1 with an outside shot at the playoff. Not sure if he was ever a realistic target for UCLA, but it's definitely the profile a lot of people are looking for.
