Do you have to set reminders or does bell go off in your head letting you know that it's time to post yet another impassioned screed about the unsavory state of college athletics and the longing to return back to wholesome days of back alley bagmen and kids playing "just for the love of school and sport" Cue the Leave it to Beaver theme song.
The money has ALWAYS only gone to the Athletic Departments, Which has been the whole freaking point all along. It's not like the tv revenue from football was funding the art and literature departments at any university ANYWHERE. Coaches were getting paid big bucks, AD were making plenty of coin, tons of money getting dumped into endless facilities upgrades, all to create even more revenue streams for the Athletic Departments, not the universities as you seem to define them.
You know, if DIII is the dream, you don't need to wait, it all ready exists, you can go adopt a DIII team and start living the dream now and begin the processing of healing from great offense that BIG college sports have become to you
