The way I see it, her name was in the fine print in the Bolch

post, and did not really need to turn into a full post with all her professional information out there. It can be argued that once her name is in that original Bolch post, her name is out there and it's all a fair game, but that's not how I see it. Elevating her information to a full on post specifically dedicated to information about her is kinda sorta highlighting the person, adding red arrow marks around her picture, and then double underscoring "this is the one that didn't vote the way she should have".

I understand that because we operate in a sports bubble here, we can disregard what's going on in the bigger world out there, but I don't share that view. I think we live in very dangerous times for people who take a public position on things that rub some people the wrong way for whatever reason. My entire point in posting that if, somehow, you're the kind of person that cares about things like that and would not want to put a target on public people's back for a vote they cast, this is one of those things that's worth bearing in mind before posting something like that.

If you're not that kind of a person, ignore what I said. It was a misjudgment on my part in that case. I can't tell what people care about based on minimal public forum exchanges.

And yes, we can talk about it. If there is a reason she gave, we can evaluate that reason and talk about whether we agree or not. I just don't think a post that says "this is the person" advances the conversation in that direction.
