There were some. Sehorn and Hermann. And some others.
Even if UCLA had few options, they at least could have hired Tony White. White had worked his way up to a coordinator job at a place far from UCLA, and unlike DF, he has the personality of a head coach.
I doubt he would have succeeded but I don't think we'd be talking about replacing him this soon like we are with DF.
