Some factors influencing average attendance:
(1) Strength of team - Obviously better team attracts more fans.
(2) Major non-con opponents or mid-majors - Attractive opponents will draw more fans than Coastal Carolina, South Alabama or Alabama St. Last time we had a big time non-con opponent here was LSU in 2021.
(3) USC game at home - Guaranteed good crowd.
(4) Ticket prices - Have constantly gone up with a negative effect on attendance.
(5) Marketing - This is crucial for good attendance and UCLA football has not been marketed well since Marketing Director Scott Mitchell left in 2019.
These five factors alone could account for most of the decline in average attendance.
