Neither the school start date nor the game times explain what's going on.
The fanbase is simply beaten down. And it really started in earnest in 2019.
In 2012 we drew 53,723 (per Wikipedia) at home against Houston at 7:30 p.m. This was on 9-15, more than a week before school started. That was Mora's first year.
In 2013, we drew/sold 60,562 on 8-31 at 7 p.m. vs. Nevada. On 9-21 we drew 58,263 against New Mexico St. at 7:30 pm.
In 2014 on 9-6 at 7 pm, we drew 72,098 for Memphis.
2016: UNLV, 9-10, 5 pm: 63,712.
2017: Mora's last year. Hawaii, 9-9, 2 pm: 50,444
Even in Chip's first year (2018), we drew ok early in the season against Cincinnati (4 pm) and Fresno St. (7:30 pm)
