--We have a bigger name opponent, Utah, sc's opponent was Missouri St;
--IMO, on a hot summer day, we had the better start time, 8pm vs sc's start time of 4.30 pm. This is personal preference, some people would like the earlier start time, despite the weather;
--Despite the above, sc draws 62,841; we drew 35,032, or if you take Bolch's #, 27,785. If sc's reported attendance is accurate...they drew 79% (or higher) more fans than us.
sc does have more tradition, success than us in football and their fan base's GAF factor is much higher than ours. We'll come out for "big" games, sc's fans come out, especially compared to us, for most games. Despite their past 2 seasons, 15-11, 9-9 in conference, their fans are much more loyal than ours. Sc's lowest home game attendance over the past 2 years (2023-24) was 61,551 (in 2023). Our lowest home game attendance over the past 2 years was 35,018 (2024).
