I've come to the point where I feel like we were and are severely handcuffed by the Athl. Dept's $$ issues.
For me, I'd have felt like the HFC is not the place to cut costs, but that's what we did. I don't know what kind of pressure Jarmond is under wrt to the Athl Dpt bleeding money.
So, we got a wildly inexperienced coach. As you note, it didn't work out that badly.
He seems to be growing into the job. Our recruiting is much improved. We have a DC that's at least solid. We have an OC that may be a diamond in the rough.
My concern is keeping Malloe and Sunseri if they do well this season.
