kids learn this sh!t in high school. If you are deep, you come back, if you are shallow, you run down field, if the QB is scrambling towards the sideline, you try to move with him and give him a target, and if he crosses the line scrimmage, block somebody. These are all loose concepts that all fall under the general rubric of just do whatever you can to give the QB a chance. Seriously, while teams that have QBs with more improvisational skills might emphasize it more, no team anywhere at any level of football practices the scramble drill daily, as the focus is always going to be on fundamentals, and execution and timing in order to keep things on schedule.

Moreover, do you have it on any real authority beyond "I didn't see them do it at the Friday Night Lights fluff showcase," which suggests that it hasn't actually been practiced? Or is it just that with you having decided it should be done every day by every QB and WR, anything less than that constitutes an egregious dereliction of duties on the part of the staff?
