It should read "Computer models predict ..."
I am not sure how accurate computer models are with no data from actual games.
Here's what Microsoft's AI says:
🏈 The Utah vs. UCLA matchup is shaping up to be a tightly contested battle, but most experts and predictive models are leaning toward Utah as the likely winner.
🔮 Predictions & Odds
Betting Odds: Utah is favored by 6.5 points over UCLA.
Win Probability:
Dimers.com gives Utah a 66% chance to win.
SP+ model (ESPN) projects a 62% win probability for Utah.
Oddshark’s computer model, however, predicts UCLA to win outright, despite Utah being favored.
🧠 Expert Insights
Utah is coming off a disappointing 2024 season but has retooled with a new quarterback, Devon Dampier, and offensive coordinator, aiming for a more dynamic attack.
UCLA counters with Tennessee transfer Nico Iamaleava at QB and a revamped offense, but their defense may be tested by Utah’s strong offensive line.
The game is expected to be close, with some models projecting a margin of just 0.1 points.
So while Utah has the edge on paper, UCLA’s upgrades and home-field advantage at the Rose Bowl could make this a nail-biter.
