What were your relevant points?
I responded to Deplorable. He summed it up well with this statement: "They gave away the keys to the kingdom decades ago and haven't done a single thing about those mistakes, even as "college football is changing". They've sat back passively and allowed their asinine deals, the kind only an 8th grade social studies teacher would make, and the changes in the industry to overtake them, bankrupting the program and turning my beloved football team into a fake knock-off of what it once was."
I've never seen criticism of UCLA's attitude and actions wrt to sports summed up so cogently.
I said "You know what? I actually agree with your overall sentiment here, the Athletic Dept has been treated like a step-child by the University for a long time."
You jumped in: "Tis your right to give this POS a reach-around, but you might want to consider the overall pretext in the sense that I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone here wax poetic about the UCLA Athletic Dept from Dalis on down."
Again, what are your "relavant points"?
There is nothing there to respond to. You are granting me the right to respond to Deplorable, but calling it a "reach around" and agreeing that the Athletic Department is due for criticism.
What is the genius insight that I'm supposed to respond to? What is your key point that you think I dodged. Because from what I can tell, you said nothing other than criticizing me for engaging with Deplorable.

Because, all I can get from this is a criticism of me choosing to respond to Deplorable.
