Anyone, like me, who criticizes Ucla must---by definition---be a USC person. Do you see the straight-jacket you're in? Your thinking is rigid and linear.

The contrapositive logic is, if you criticize Ucla, then you're not of Ucla. So, to be of Ucla means not criticizing it. Is that what you learned at this "elite" school?

You're probably just not thinking this all the way through. You might allow yourself and others to criticize Ucla without othering them mindlessly and reflexively. Thinking causes pain, like lifting weights. But, give it a try. You'll get stronger.
