Yes, Nico was the top QB in the portal (or close), but Thomas was not the top RB. For example, the other guy at Cal, Jaydn Ott, transferred to Oklahoma. He ran for like 1300 yards in 2023 (played injured for nearly all of 2024). There were other transfer RB's who were also more highly rated, including the kid who went from WSU to Utah.
Good job by Foster. A lot of luck was involved too. And the promise of the coming revenue sharing settlement seems to have kept UCLA in the NIL game. Still haven't won anything yet, so you're more than a little premature.
