But I don't think it matters much. The sheer number of high school football players within a 40 mile radius of campus ensures that there is a lot of talent to draw from.
It's a big advantage compared to schools like Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota, Oregon, Indiana, and many, many other schools.
It's another reason why those who say high school recruiting is passe' are wrong. A lot of guys transfer, and they often come home, to a team they knew in high school, with coaches and teammates who are familiar.
